New RETREAT Date Announced!!

Hi Everyone!

We had a great retreat last weekend and have announced our next date - November 4-6, 2011! The retreat will be at Gladstone Oxford Suites. The cost for a 6' scrap table for 3 days is $45. We do get deals for the hotel rooms and will alert you to the deals about 1 month prior to the retreat. You then reserve your room directly with the hotel. We have 3 spots left - let us know if you are interested!

+ tax per night (total, not per person!)
This includes breakfast and their happy hour/appetizer selections and
2 adult (or not) beverages.

So, basically if you have 4 people to a room, it will be $25 per
night, per person.

We've reserved 3 rooms, which will need to be paid for by you a week
prior to the retreat (or at least reserved with a credit card). At
that point, our hold on the rooms drops off. Please call the hotel
and
tell them you are with East Side Scrappers and they will have all of
the info.

Who wants a massage?  The masseuse we had last time was amazing!!  If
you are interested, please let me know, as we need to book her for 3
hours to make it worth her while.  She charges $60 per hour and will
break it into 15 minute increments for a table massage or charge $1 a
minute for a chair massage.

Hello Everyone!

We hope Fall is treating you well! We are so excited for next week's retreat, but also wanted to announce the date for the first retreat of 2011!! 2011 will be our 3rd year of bringing you fun and inexpensive retreats and we're so glad to get to see you 3x times a year! Our first retreat of 2011 will be March 4-6! Here's the specific info:

Cost: $45 - This includes: 6 feet of scrapping space all too yourself(!) for 3 days, snacks, use of our Cricuit Expression, acrylic stamps, inks, our lovely company, and best of all, no drama! ;-)

As always, we will reserve of block of rooms for our scrappers, at a discounted rate, usually in the $80-$90 range per night. The rooms can house up to 4 people (after the first 2, add $10 per person for the breakfast/appetizer buffet tickets). If you are interested in a room, it will be your responsibility to call the hotel and reserve a room from our block for yourself. If you are interested in reserving a spot (they go fast!), please make a comment and leave your name (or names). We will put you on the list and email you the address where you can send your check. Beach Retreat - 2 spots left!

Hi All!

Our beach retreat is coming up and there are 2 spots left! The retreat will be held at a B&B 11miles south of Newport. $125 for the weekend will include your (shared) room for 2 nights, 6 feet of table space, use of our Expression, stamps and inks, dinner on Friday and Saturday, and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Pictures from our Oct 2009 Retreat - so much fun!

Hello!!

I know that you've been waiting for this post, mainly because some of you have signed up without even knowing the details of where we're going!

First things first - our next local retreat will be April 23-25 at The Oxford Suites in Gladstone. We love these local retreats because they are so close and so inexpensive, whether we stay at the hotel or not! The cost of the scrap room only, for the entire weekend, is $45. We do reserve a block of rooms that you would pay for directly to the hotel - for budgeting purposes the rooms are generally between $80-100 per night for 4 people and includes breakfast and an evening reception. We will have pricing on the rooms approximately one month before the retreat (if not sooner). Our local retreat scheduled for next weekend filled up at the last retreat 4 months ago - if you want a spot for April, please let us know ASAP!

Now for a drum roll....the BEACH RETREAT!!! Mark your calendars for July 23-25! This retreat will be held at a great bed and breakfast 11 miles south of Newport in Seal Rock, OR just 75 yards off of the beach! The retreat will start at noon on Friday and go until Sunday at 4pm. Breakfast and dinner will be served. Seal Rock is a 2 3/4 hour drive from Portland. Each room will sleep 2-3 people (double bed/single bed/bunk bed combos) and they will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. The cost is $125 per person and is a steal! The good news is there are 8 spots, the bad news is that 4 are already taken and paid for. This one is going to go fast - let us know if you want in ASAP! Again, our local February retreat is next weekend and we don't expect a spot to be left after the February retreat.

Don't forget our next local retreats are open to sign up as well....Any attendees to the February retreat (who sign up at the Feb retreat) can sign up for a discounted cost. - $40 for the scrap room. Regular cost is $45. The dates are April 23-25 and October 22-24.

Our beach retreat is July 23-25 at Seal Rock, OR. Breakfast, dinner and lodging is included. Sign up at the Feb retreat at a discounted rate of $115 (regular price is $125). I will be sending an email on this shortly, but realize that we have only 4 spots left!

New 2010 Retreat Dates Announced!

We are just coming down from our retreat this weekend and had a fabulous time! We announced new dates for the retreats next year and are already booked for the February Retreat! We will be having another retreat at the beach in July and another local retreat in Ocotber as well. If you would like to be on the waitlist for February (in case someone can't come) please leave a comment. If you'd like to reserve spots for the July or October Retreats please leave a comment as well! The retreat dates for 2010 are as follows:

Welcome to the East Side Scrappers!

We're so glad that you have interest in attending our retreats! Our third retreat is planned for October 23-25, 2009. Below you will find general info about our retreats. You can secure a spot in the scrap room or a hotel room (room-mate sign up) in the "Discussions" section of our group page (Eastside Scrappers Group at Google) under 'scrap room sign-up' or 'roommate sign-up'. We would appreciate it if you would take a brief moment and add your contact info to the data base ("Files" section of group page).

Dates: October 23-25, 2009 Friday 10 am – Sunday 5 pm
Location: Oxford Suites in Gladstone.

The room is 700 sq. feet and plenty of room for 10 women.
Cost: The cost of the scrap room will be split between the women that attend. It is $350 for the entire weekend and includes a light snack on Friday evening. If all 10 tables are full, the cost for the room will be $35.00 each. It will go up if we do not have a full room, so keep that in mind. The cost is the same if you choose to come for the weekend or for 1 day. A spot is a spot and it is only fair.
To reserve a spot, you will need sign up on the Scrap Room Database. At that point you will need to send a check to us for $35.00. This holds your table at the retreat. If the retreat is not full, you will be emailed the remaining balance due two weeks prior to the retreat. Payment in full will be required 1 week prior to the retreat.
We ask that in the event that you may need to cancel that you do so at least 2 weeks in advance for a full refund. If you cancel after that time period, you will get a refund if we are able to fill your spot. Rooms: Not everyone will want to stay the night. I have a friend that works at the hotel that can get us a discount. The rates are as follows for 2 people to a room:
King Studio Suite: $80/ night
(1 King bed and full size sofa sleeper)
Double Queen Suite : $90/ night
(2 Queen beds)
This cost includes (per person) 2 tickets to happy hour (2 drink coupons and evening buffet) Friday and Saturday evening and 2 breakfast tickets for Saturday and Sunday.
**These rates are for 2 people to a room, for each additional adult in a room would be an extra $10 charge.** For each additional person you will also receive happy hour and breakfast tickets. To sign up for a room, please go to the "Discussions" section and reply to the "Roommate Sign-up" post. In the email you receive the 2 weeks prior to the retreat, there will be a confirmation of your room as well as your total balance due. You will be expected to have this money (for scrap room) and credit card info (for room) to us 1 week prior to the date of the retreat Let us know if you'd like to join our Google group!

Our next retreat is at THE BEACH!!!

We had such a great group of gals last time and we are so looking forward to this next retreat...

we just wish it would get here already!!!

July 17th (noon)-19th(4pm)

Warrenton, Oregon

12 scrappers (bring your own pillow)

Scrap tables are 48"wx30"d - there will be a tool table as well

4 bedroom, 2 bath, full kitchen, jacuzzi, cable tv, 2 flat screens in scrap area

Breakfast is included

5 minutes from beach

5 minutes from local scrap store (they will give us a store discount!)

5 minutes from Costco

All of this for $100!

$50 deposit due by April 30th (or first come, first serve)

Remaining balance of $50 due June 13th.
